PRIOR CONSULTATION
AT THE PLASTIC SURGEON
- You come for a consultation with our plastic surgeon at the clinic in Lviv.
- The doctor will find out exactly what changes you want to get, will inform you in detail about the ways to achieve the desired result, preparation for the mammoplasty operation and further rehabilitation after the operation. At the consultation, the plastic surgeon will individually select for you the type and size of breast implants, which will be optimal in your case, and will also determine how the implants will be installed during the operation, taking into account the individual characteristics of the anatomical structure of your body and your wishes.
- With the help of the Vectra XT diagnostic system with the ability of 3D modeling, you will be able to see how the shape of your breasts will change after mammoplasty. An experienced plastic surgeon will take care of observing the proportionality of the figure and breast size so that everything looks as natural and harmonious as possible.
- After that, we will conduct a mandatory examination directly in our clinic, namely: laboratory tests, ultrasound of the mammary glands. In order to rule out any possible risks to your health, a complete examination is required, in particular, you must be examined by a gynecologist at the Genesis clinic. Ultrasound examination and gynecologist examination are included in the price of the procedure.
PROCESS OF MAMMOPLASTICS OPERATION
- Breast augmentation surgery is performed under general anesthesia (gas anesthesia). The duration of the operation is about one hour.
- The plastic surgeon chooses one of three access methods for placing the implant: either through an incision under the breast, around the areola of the nipple, or through an incision in the armpit.
THERE ARE THE FOLLOWING METHODS OF INSTALLATION OF IMPLANTS:
⇒ Under the mammary gland. With this method of installing the implant, the function of the pectoral muscles is not disturbed, and in the future, a full-fledged opportunity to engage in sports remains.
⇒ Under the pectoralis major muscle. This method is used for thin women who have a thin layer of subcutaneous fat.
⇒ Combined method, when the upper part of the implant is located under the muscle, and the lower part - under the gland, in two planes. This method is optimal and the most popular today.
Breast augmentation does not replace a breast lift in case of severe sagging, however, both procedures can be performed simultaneously if there are appropriate indications.
REHABILITATION AFTER BREAST IMPLANTATION
- After the operation, you stay in our clinic for a day and rest in comfortable conditions under the supervision of a doctor.
- We have modern new wards equipped with everything you need, quality three-course meals, round-the-clock care by qualified staff. Also, upon discharge, the plastic surgeon will provide you with individual recommendations regarding the regime and breast care.
- Since cosmetic self-absorbable threads are used, there is no need to remove stitches. After healing, the scar will be hidden in the fold under the breast and will not be noticeable at all.
- During the month after mammoplasty, you need to wear special compression underwear: the fixing bra keeps the breast in the right position, helps reduce swelling and heal the stitches as quickly as possible. Also, during this period, physical exertion should be avoided, heavy lifting should not be allowed. After a month, you can gradually get back in shape, but without straining your hands. Full training, sports are allowed 4-6 months after breast augmentation surgery.
